Enfield Council is an exciting place to work, having established innovative solutions to the financial challenges that it has faced in recent years. As a result of its creative approach, the Council is a 100% shareholder in a number of successful limited companies, which are diverse in nature and growing rapidly, providing timely and relevant services to the people of Enfield.
Given the size and complexity of these companies, the Council is now looking for a competent, ambitious, commercially-focussed Finance Manager to take on a varied, challenging role, leading a new team in providing an excellent service to those companies. With experience in supporting private limited companies to:
- present a robust business case
- set up financial systems
- manage their day to day financial processes and statutory requirements
- present unqualified accounts
The successful applicant will have an excellent accounting track record, outstanding communication skills and the ability to manage a large, diverse workload within finite resources.
The Company Accounts team will be expected to be self-funding, so good, persuasive, negotiation skills will be essential to maintain the companies as customers and ensure that a relevant, timely and continuously improving service is delivered. An ability to build excellent relationships with company board members will be essential.
