McMullan to leave NAO
0Lynda McMullan, one of the assistant auditor generals at the National Audit Office, is to leave her post. She joined the Office in October 2011 and oversees the NAO’s work on local government, education and health.
A spokesperson for the NAO said that McMullan was leaving at the end of her two-year contract. “She has helped us to build excellent foundations for our new work with local government and guided our work with DCLG and the sector during the passage of the government’s Local Audit Bill.”
“She has built a strong team focused on local delivery, has developed our relationships with the sector, and has been responsible for some high-profile VFM reports. We will now be looking for a replacement to build on Lynda’s excellent work.”
McMullan’s previous posts included assistant director of finance for Hammersmith and Fulham and director of finance for Kent County Council.
