Brunel to use MSCI benchmarks for equity sub-funds
0LGPS pool Brunel Pension Partnership has signed a contract to make extensive use of equity benchmarks on around £10bn of assets.
The benchmarks will be provided by MSCI, a leading supplier of investment tools, including indexes, analytics and other data.
They will cover six out of the seven sub-funds that Brunel is currently developing for an estimated £7.5bn of actively managed equities.
These include core global equities, high alpha, emerging markets, sustainable equities, smaller companies and low volatility active equities.
MSCI benchmarks were also a key part of the specification for Brunel’s recent passive tender covering £3.6bn of equities.
