Communities ministry poaches Treasury director
0The Treasury’s lead on public services is set to take a top role in Whitehall overseeing local government.
Catherine Frances, currently the director of public services at HM Treasury, is to become director general for local government and public services at the Ministry of Communities and Local Government.
She replaces Jo Farrar who will move to oversee the Prisons and Probation Service.
Barking and Dagenham Council’s chief executive, Chris Naylor, was among those to welcome the move, saying: “Great news and great appointment.”
