South Cambridgeshire District Council is set to invest £13m in a science park.

The council is buying 140 Cambridge Science Park as part of its property investment portfolio.

The deal is based on a net initial yield after purchaser’s costs of 5.63% which will generate an initial income of £776,970 per annum.

This is projected to rise next year to around £840,000 after a rent review.

Forecasts on returns were based over 35 years. And the investment has been scored as very good due to a strong tenant.
