Council to create public services reform department
0London Borough of Hammersmith is creating a new public services reform (PSR) department. The new office will bring together the authority’s transformation, strategy and change management capability with its public health services.
It will incorporate the council’s commercial management team, which runs corporate procurement and contract management, and will also look after community investment initiatives.
A report to councillors said the change was aimed at an “integrated approach” to reform that will allow the council to rethink how services are delivered.
“PSR will provide a focus for our ambition and creative thinking as we realise the council’s vision and define an ambitious blueprint for local government into the decades ahead,” the report said.
