Heron appointed to lead Lothian Pension Fund
0Doug Heron has been appointed as the new chief executive of the Lothian Pension Fund.
He will join in February from Edinburgh-based investment platform Nucleus Financial, where he was chief operating officer for platform operations.
He has previously held senior roles at RBS and also worked as finance director at private bank Adam & Company.
Alasdair Rankin, convener of the Lothian pensions committee said today: “I am delighted that Doug will be joining us as our new chief executive officer.
“He was the unanimous choice of the appointments panel and I believe he is ideally qualified to continue the successful delivery of the Lothian Pension Fund’s work, and I look forward to working with him.”
Heron succeeds Clare Scott who is leaving the fund in December after 13 years, the last six served as chief executive officer.”
