Maidenhead’s roundabouts to get £5.3m investment
0The Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership has said it will spend £4.2m, alongside an investment of £1.1m from the council, in improving six roundabouts in Maidenhead as part of the town’s regeneration programme.
The upgrade to the road system will take place ahead of the completion of the regeneration project’s new housing.
Councillor Phill Bicknell, lead member for highways, transport and Windsor, said: “I am delighted that we have been successful in another bid to the LEP.
“This is important work that will make the journey through Maidenhead much easier by changing the way the roundabouts work with the flow of traffic and the anticipated increase of traffic with the regeneration programme.”
