Property developer drops case against Northumberland
0Lugano Dissington Estate Ltd, an arm of Lugano Property Group, has dropped a £10m High Court case against Northumberland County Council and three of its leaders over the cost of stalled plans for 2,000 new homes.
The developer had issued a writ in September claiming it would face costs of £13m for delays in the construction of Dissington Garden Village.
Lugano alleged that the council acted unlawfully when it placed the project under review after the composition of the council changed, with the Conservatives becoming the largest party in May 2017.
It has emerged that Lugano Dissington Estate Ltd is no longer owned by Lugano Property Group.
