A shared services partnership between three Cambridgeshire councils last year delivered services for 17% less than the year the partnership was created, according to an annual report.

Cambridge City Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council began sharing legal, building control and ICT services in October 2015.

The 3C Shared Services partnership’s annual report said: “The outturn for 2018/19 of £991,154 represents a 17% saving on the £1,193,360 baseline budget in 2015/16, and this is despite £116,860 of salary inflation, which has been absorbed.”

All of the services have achieved savings against their budgets for 2018/19, it said.
