Terms for business rates review published
0The government has published the terms of its review of governance and processes relating to the business rates system. The review will cover a number of topics including complexity, governance and management, capacity and capability, openness, and culture. The review will be led by Andrew Hudson, former director general for public services at the Treasury, who was also previously chief executive of the Valuation Office Agency, as well as having worked in local government. A letter from communities secretary Sajid Javid to Clive Betts, chairman of the communities and local government select committee, said: “I expect work on the review to continue to progress at pace and hope to be able to confirm details on the planned timetable for the review shortly.”
