£5.5m of funding for Town Team Partners
0Three hundred and ninety three towns around the country have been invited to bid to become Town Team Partners and access £5.5m of funding.
Housing minister Grant Shapps announced today that the towns – those not chosen to become Portas Pilots – could be eligible for support packages to help develop their high streets and business areas if they put themselves forward for the new scheme. “Each one that applies will benefit from a package of support to refine their plans and get the help and advice they need to bring their town centres back to life,” said Shapps.
A further 15 Portas Pilots were also announced today, three of them in London where Boris Johnson will invest a further in £300,000 funding.
