We have reinvented municipal lending for the digital age. With Abundance, local government can borrow cost effectively from its citizens, while fostering deeper engagement with them. Nineteen councils have now launched citizen investment programmes with us, raising more than £30m from over 3,000 citizens and mission-aligned institutions, and saving an average of 29 basis points compared with the PWLB Certainty Rate.
New research has also found that issuing a CMI has an immediate effect on resident trust, with 55% of investors saying they trusted councils that had issued a CMI more than those who had not.
