Finance policy statement: deprivation funding focus sparks ‘anxiety’ for some

The government’s finance policy statement has outlined plans to target grants and additional funding towards areas of “deprivation” and “need”, while also announcing reforms to social care and a reset of the relationship between Whitehall and councils.
