The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is the administering authority for the £1.7bn London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Pension Fund. The Fund has 36 employers and 20,000 members.
The Strategic Director Resources/S151 Officer wishes to revise the working arrangements of the Pensions Board and make it fully compliant with the Regulations. As part of this we are seeking an Independent Chairman who will chair four meetings of the board each year and attend the Pensions Committee (which also meets four times a year).
We are seeking a Chairman with experience of governance in the Local Government Pension Scheme.
