‘Danger’ less emphasis will be placed on savings delivery at Nottingham, warn commissioners

Commissioners have urged Nottingham City Council to focus on the delivery of all savings ahead of the planned ending of government intervention at the authority on 22 February 2026.

Of the £39m savings included in the authority’s 2025/26 budget, some £10m have been identified either “at risk or not deliverable”, the commissioners noted
