SAB urges government to reconsider pooling deadline

The Scheme Advisory Board (SAB) has urged the pensions and local government ministers to reconsider the March 2026 pooling deadline, warning that the changes required cannot be delivered within the proposed timeline.

In a letter addressed to pensions minister Torsten Bell and local government minister Jim McMahon, SAB chair Roger Phillips and vice-chair Jon Richards warned
