Finance directors, chief information officers, directors of transformation and key private sector partners are to come together this month to discuss how technology and innovation can bring greater efficiency, reduced costs and improved service delivery at local authorities.

From evaluating the true potential of digital transformation to finding innovation in procurement, via sessions on data, shared services, AI, and ERP systems, Room151’s Technology, Data and Finance Forum will establish best practices and find solutions to implement back in the workplace.

The big issues local authorities are facing will also be addressed, with the impact of local government reorganisation a key topic, and ways to change an organisation’s narrative from short-term savings to long-term value creation considered.

The Technology, Data and Finance Forum will take place at the Royal Society’s Grade I listed building in central London on 14 October. As well as the vibrant conference agenda, there will be exhibitors and networking opportunities throughout the day, with a drinks reception to finish.

There is still time to register your place; to do so please click here. The event is free for qualifying local government finance and technology officers. As the aim of the event is to bring s151s together with CIOs we encourage you to book places for both at the same time.
