‘A positive step but there will be losers’: further reaction to the Fair Funding Review

No change can ever address the complexity of local government funding if the size of the cake is too small. That must be “the overriding message that remains at the front of the debate” following the launch of the long-awaited Funding Review consultation, not how the cake is divided, according to Michael Hudson, executive director of finance and resources at Cambridgeshire County Council.
