Eastleigh nears borrowing limit as short-term debt pressure mounts

Eastleigh Borough Council has warned it is close to its borrowing limit, with £235m of short-term borrowing due for refinancing as the inter-authority lending market remains tight and short-term borrowing continues to be the default option.
