Stoke to ask government for almost £45m of additional funding

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has warned that without £44.7m of additional funding from the government, the authority will not be able to balance its budget.

A large cohort of CFOs have been put back into a “washing machine of turmoil” following the government’s decision to pause and review local government reorganisation (LGR).
