Hillingdon denies claims it is delaying section 114 notice

Hillingdon Council’s section 151 officer is “not currently minded” to issue a section 114 notice and has not halted non-statutory spending, despite claims that the authority is already operating with a negative balance sheet.

This follows a report by the Local Democracy Reporting Service, which citied a source alleging that the council is “simply delaying” the inevitable issuance
